    Well no im assuming not from what giffney said, his cap is 15 for the cards as they have to pay bonus aswell as salary.

    Lets say they have offered him a 5 year deal @ 15 million a year (total)
    lets say 10 million is salary so that means 5 milllion a year is bonus.

    If he was traded, the new team only pays the 10 million

    Ya no I get that, the trading team has to pay off the bonus whilst the new team only has the pay the salary.
    But leaving all that aside I thought the easiest way of looking at it is whatever salary is says in the year column 2014 10mil 2015 15mil etc.
    Thats what the recieving team will be paying

    No it's that minus the bonus divided by the number of years the deal is.

    His savings/release pen is against a deal i would imagine, plus he had a good game v me the other night, when Floyd comes back from injury, giff will have quite the offense.
