Upgrade Fail

Looking for some advice here folks yesterday I upgraded from a nicofresh igo 4 starter kit that i was running with standard evod clearomizers. Worked perfectly fine for 10 months and recently they started to leak onto the battery stopping power getting to the clearomizer and hence producing no vapour. The evod units were about 6months old and had only changed the coils as needed.

So I decided to upgrade totally instead to getting new evods. I got a vision spinner 2 and teamed it with a protank mini 3 and was really disappointed with the vapour production across all the voltages it was close to what I was getting with the old setup but definitely no better and also gave a horrible metallic taste which could be down to the drip tip. The dual coils also ripped through the e liquid about twice as fast with no visible vapour enhancement.

So I decided to just try some new evods on the spinner 2 and the coils just seemed to burn up and the draw was extremely tight with very little vapour production again. Tried it on the old battery and had the same issue. Im using nicofresh eliquid if that makes any difference.

Im at my wits end here trying to find something that works. Any advice on the best clearomizer to team with the spinner 2 and what to do with the evods for the old batterys would be greatly appreciated. Also any recommendations on a better vapour producing eliquid that would be close to what i use (blueberry/tobacco mix) would also be a huge help.

    Sorry about essay here. Thanks.

A mini Nautilus is a great clearo to use with any set up I've 2, it has adjustable air flow and the flavor and vapour is by far the best from any stock tanks. As for juice get yourself to E-smoke Ireland in Palmerston they've loads of juices you can try.

I use a kanger aero tank mega with a beauty ring on my vision spinner two. Works good it is just s little top heavy. I use the stainless tank on it due to work and the Pyrex one breaking.

Cheers for all the advice guys went into e-smoke ireland and got sorted. It seems the old batteries are discharging more volts than they should picked up new 2.2 ohm coils and it burned them out immediately. So just picked up an acryllic drip tip and and some of the older dual coils (visible wicks) for the protank mini 3 getting better than i had on the old setup now using the spinner at 3.8V.

I am very happy with the setup of electronic cigarette that I use. I purchased an X from their website a few months back and haven't changed since. I just ordered a few as gifts and was stoked to see the are having an awesome sale!

You are pushing these bog standard ego batteries pretty hard...any connection with them?

Mod: Removed link and brand name

Any idea where I would pick up a collar or beauty ring to fit between the spinner 2 to an aspire vivi nova bvc ??

    Thanks

Thanks I really appreciated it but I think the Spinner 2 has a larger circumference than the ego batteries.

the Spinner & Ego Batt has an ego thread, then all beauty rings & plinths will fit all of them.I have 3 different types of batteries, spinner, ego c twist & a joytech 1300 which is alot thicker than any of them, the only difference in these plinths is the diameter,I think they are 17mm & 19mm if that helps.

Not at the ego end it doesn't.
Fitting anything other than a 'mini' device will look awkward on any ego styled battery, and the collar will certainly make it look 'smoother' but the top will still be bigger than the bottom! The button area being recessed makes this more pronounced too. Like this googled setup:

To be honest its mainly to avoid the larger edge of the tank getting caught on my pocket everytime I take it out rather than any aesthetic reason. But it does look a bit thrown together as well.
