Could someone recommend an endodontist in Cork please? I have an infection in the root canal under the crown, it causes me terrible pain, the painkillers don't help much.. I was referred to a specialist in Clermont clinic but the first available appointment is in December(((( can't wait this long!

    Thanks to everyone who answers!

Clermont Clinic is absolutely outstanding in what they do. Michael Hartnett is fantastic. I was suffering from the worst pain in my life and the root canal treatment was better than getting a filling. And I fear the dentist!! I can't understand though why he cant take an emergency appointment? I rang the receptionist, explained I was in absolute agony and I had an appointment the following day. He gave me painkillers and anti biotics to clear up the infection.

There's also one in Wilton who is meant to be quite good! I'm not sure of what his name is though.

Thank you very much Brandon! ADr Hartnett is the one I was referred to, didn't remember the name.. I'm already taking antibiotics and painkillers since yesterday, maybe they need more time to produce effect.
I will definitely try to call back Clermint on monday, maybe they will find an appointment for me..

I had many sleepless nights with thepain. As far as I remember the anti biotics took a day or two to kick in. Wish I had stronger painkillers too. I found heat helped with the pain. So I used a hot water bottle. .lifesaver! Needless to say be careful with it.

The guy in Wilton is Patrick O'Driscoll and he's very good as well.

I rang and got antibiotics from MH in clermont a few weeks before my root canal. Only had it done the other day. Recommend him definitely. Had recommended him in another part of the forum but they snipped his name strangely enough. I am very happy right now - first time in over a year with a big swelling in my mouth.
