    Hi all,

Need to furnish a house - should I be waiting until after xmas to get the benefit of the january sales? Do furniture shops DO january sales?

    Thanks,
    CBFi

Furniture shops do sales all the time you have to be unlucky to go when they don't have one on! There will definitely be furniture sales going on in January.

Yeah, majority of furniture shops put winter sale and New Year sale in January. This is the right time to go for new pieces.

Xmas and New year sales usually come together and so stay till Jan, so its all up to you mate :)

Dunno what part of the country you're in OP or what type of spec or budget your talking but last year just after Christmas, DFS ( Blanchardstown & Cork), EZLiving, Harvey Norman, IKEA & Arnotts all had sales on. Spent a few days comparing prices & quality etc. make sure you have your room measurements and colour schemes considered before you head for the sales- no point in buying too big or too small pieces for your room sizes ! Good luck & enjoy !!
