what double standards annoy you?

this scenario, im sure you've all encountered this:

male teacher sleeps with female student = pervert, scumbag, hang him
female teacher and male student = lucky, wish I had teachers like that,

obviously this will never end. since the beginning of time both sexes have been portrayed differently in terms of characteristics and gender stereotypes,we can work toward equality all we like but I think
there will always be a divide between whats acceptable for man and woman, its just the way societal attitudes have developed. its sad really.

Same thing about weight and height. Men are scumbags for rejecting over a woman who is "fat" and yet it's morally right for women to reject a man for his height.

Woman can lose weight and have the body for the man but a man can't simply grow any taller.

Not in any way true. They would both get the same advice about going for walks together and eating stir fry. Unless the woman has just had a baby in which case the man is usually told to help out with it more so she can go for walks by herself. They are not a support group in PI , you see a lot of people being told stuff they don't want to hear in there. Also I don't ever remember a thread in PI where a woman was complaining about her fella's weight.

Advertising standards, anything slightly derogative against women has a certain crowd of people up in arms, yet the amount of ads that are hugely insulting to men without complaint.

Saw one the other night, where some woman couldn't sleep, she ended up getting so frustrated she pushed her sleeping husband out of the bed, flip that one around and see the reaction it would be deemed ... misogynistic!
