    I need to re-connect a back boiler to the rads and need a reliable/fair priced plumber to do work.

    The rads were disconnected a few years ago so just a matter of reversing

    Not that simple.

    Radiators that were previously used and now drained for a few years will have formed internal rusting, espicaly at the bottom if they still had a trickle of water in them. That will weaken them or block them or clog other parts of the heating.

    Re-Connecting a drained back boiler, espicaly if a fire was used when it was drained is a total no no, due to weakening. Potential disaster.

    thanks for feedback. The rads weren't drained - they're still used with oil. but back boiler was drained alright and fires were lit since (been about 4 years since disconnection).

    Didn't realise it was so dangerous!
