I went to turn on my PC and the fans where very loud,i usually keep the case fans high and the CPU middle speeds.
So I knew there was something up with the BIOS settings, took off the side of the case and there is oo on the led beside the CMOS reset button.

Myself and my Nephew have tried everything and I do mean everything.
Took parts off his pc and tried them on mine(PSU,CPU,RAM)
Cleaned up and reapplied thermal past on CPU
    Boot with one ram stick
    Disconnected other hard drives
    Something with the jumper
    Checked all the wiring

He was saying the stand off screw was touching the PCI.

I think at this stage its buy a new motherboard?

    Thanks for an information/help

Its an asrock board with a 00 error, I have the PC here with me if anyone has any ideas. Basically I have more or less swept through all the hardware and found it to be functioning correctly only thing I can find fault with is the mb.

As Jeff said the stand of screw was touching of the PCI solder pins on the back of the board when I checked. I'm thinking the motherboard got zapped when he turned it on suppried it didn't happen sooner to be honest.

Could be motherboard damage alright, try removing the lithium battery for a while just incase it is Bios related as this will reset the bios and see if it turns on then.

Have left it out over night I'll pop back it back in in a while and see what happens.
