The main thing for these civil service type jobs is to have good examples of each of the competencies (I'm assuming the application form asked for different ones like "interpersonal skills" and ones specific to interviewers' work like conducting surveys or door to door interaction with the public). Have a couple of extra examples in your head in case they ask for more. Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice . Think I best dig out my application form and start thinking of more examples ! Not even sure how many jobs there are but I definitely need the interview practice .

There were 2 permanent jobs. We didn't get them.
There is also a panel from which sicknesses resignations etc will be filled.

I got an email today offering me the opportunity to apply for a cso job at the airport.

Its shift work and looking at the sample shift pattern, you needn't even consider having a life outside work:)

    31k + 25% shift allowance

    €38,000 !!! Sounds great to me €€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€€

There are lots of people getting CO jobs in the civil service in Dublin at the moment and they are only getting €21K.

I say take it, and as soon as you get in, then find out where you apply to get off shiftwork.

Where are jobs for the cso advertised? publicjobs.ie? Are they advertised regularly?

Did anyone perhaps apply for the most recent survey interviewer positions?
