Recently made redundant and I was sent to meet an Employment Mediator at my local LES today. She was very friendly but unfortunately she didn't have any information/areas that I haven't already tried.
I was just wondering on the way home how the Employment Mediators get THEIR jobs. According to their website they are under contract to the Dept of Social Protection. I presumed they were public servants but the staff there were far too young to have been recruited before the Public Service Moratorium. Does anyone know where these jobs are advertised ?

They aren't public servants. Structures vary, but many are part of local partnership companies www.ildn.ie

Their jobs most likely would have been advertised in local paper, on the partnership website, or on activelink.ie

Thanks a million for that Mousetail. I keep an eye on my local ones and on Activelink. I've never seen the ildn site before. Cheers

No worries, if this is a field you would like to get into, there will be a very big expansion next year. Turasnua.ie
