Anyone who is on Henry street must have seen this guy at this stage.
He has an earpiece in and wears a hopefully faux bloodsoaked tee shirt and a placard reading "Stop cannibalism" and and other things.

Has anyone stopped to talk to this guy.
    Does anyone know the deal?

Stopped to talk to him? Are you nuts? Please don't encourage him.

He was behind me shopping in Tesco Parnell St a few weeks ago. Didn't look at what was in his basket.

On 31 October 2014, a crowd stoned to death, burned and then ate a suspected ADF insurgent in the town of Beni, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
So there you have it...Democratic Republic of the Congo.

If anyone speaks to him, and wants to bring up cannibalism in a roundabout way, they could ask him whether he knew that the guy who wrote the book that inspired the movie Soylent Green used to live in Ireland and was honorary president of the Irish Esperanto Association.

honorary president of the Irish Esperanto Association.

    There was an actual president?

    Is this a Dublin thread?

Maybe the poor bastard is trying to come off it himself, and the resulting cold-turkey horrors have him off his head?

It's child abuse he's on about not cannibalism. Read the nonsense he has taped onto his chest. I work in the city centre so him regularly enough.

Is that your man who has a plaster or something sealing his lips together too?

I don't mind them stopping cannibalism in the workplace and in bars and restaurants but when they start telling me I can't eat human flesh in my own home or in my car when there's kids there they've crossed the line.

    There would have been, yes.

A bit before his time, Esperanto was quite the thing - also very popular with some of those involved in the 1916 rising.

The guy is harmless enough, and as another poster mentioned he is against child abuse, and I think he doesn't mean cannibalism literally.

Its a good cause, I'm opposed to cannibalism too. Mainly because I don't want some guy to eat me. How can I sign up to his newsletter?

I think pretty much everyone is against child abuse, but we don't act like idiots.

    Obviously not everyone.

Still, I don't see what this fella in Henry St (I assume its Dublin) is trying to prove.

Well yeah, what he does is very odd, but again he is harmless, and I have never seen him bother anyone.

Tell him to feck off to the Congo with his message then. What's he doing telling Henry Street people to not eat people? Might as well head down to my local butcher and tell him it's wrong to sell Lady Gaga records on a count of her being an agent of the Illuminati.

Any truth in the rumour that it's Georgio Chiellini?

    Nope - Henry St. Limerick.

We got kicked out of the Limerick thread so we have to talk about it here.

Is that the guy who has his mouth taped shut with insulation tape?

He needs to pick one cause at a time - I tried to read his sign one day but after the death penalty, canabolism and child abuse I just gave up

    uh... no?

I'm a busy man. If he wants me to read it, he's going to have to staple it to a pork chop.

Could be. But that is the only one I know. OP should specify if creating a thread in a national forum.
