Celbridge to Leixlip along the Liffey?

Anyone know if this is possible? I know you can get to barnhall but is there any trail from here on that follows the Liffey into Leixlip or is it all private land?

Not strictly along the Liffey all the way but there is a new waymarked trail - http://kildare.ie/tourism/arthurs-way.asp

The only obstacle is the ditch behind westion/water works.
We use to go fishing along the east bank across from the canoe club and i only walked up threw the water works a few weeks back
