Hepatitis Vaccination, Blood Test

I've gotten the HBV A+B Vaccination (Twinrix) in the past however at my job it's been requested that I supply documentation such as a copy of my blood test results to OH. I've contacted where I got the vaccination done and they said they can't disclose this information. Could I go to my GP and have the blood test repeated so I can hand in a copy of the results?

The only information they would give me is that my results were >1000 and that's it :(

    Thanks for your help :)

Do you remember having a blood test a short while after the vaccinations?

They should supply you with a letter stating that you received the full course on which dates and that your titres showed a response (even detail like lot number should be available) No need for clinics name or anything, just a Doctors name.
You may need to ask to speak to a doctor, possibly in person, to get the letter but it is part of your medical record / personal information and AFAIK you have a right to it

The problem with getting your titres tested now is that they will have dropped, possibly below detectable levels and as your GP didn't administer the vaccinations they can't be certain whether the antibodies are from a vaccine or the virus.

You could ask OH to do the titre themselves?
Do you have a letter with the >1000 figure on it? That's all they'll want

I did get the blood test done. I've been given a vaccination card with the LOT numbers etc of all three courses. They just gave me a ring and said write on the card that the results were >1000.

I'll try get an appointment to get in to see a doctor there as I'm getting no joy over the phone.

I asked them that and they said they want a copy of the full test results not just that number! :(

    Also thanks a million :)

I would try a doctor or nurse in the clinic first. Explain clearly what you are asking for. Explain that you have already completed the vaccinations, you're not looking to get them done. Probably easier in person as they will pull your medical record.
Should that fail you could try to find a consultant in the lab where your sample was tested and request a copy of the lab report (more likely to succeed if another doctor requests this). This is unlikely be sufficient though if the clinic that gave you the vaccines uses a semi-anonymous patient I.D. system

You should really be able to get a copy of the results.
Its a common request and unless they have lost it there should be a record.
Even if lost the lab which did it will almost certainly have a record.

You are entitled to any data they hold on you, they can charge a maximum of €6.35 for processing this. I had to go this route previously when a GP I visited once wanted a large amount of money to confirm that I had had chicken pox.
