I was just wondering about this payment and what the qualifying amounts are. It says on citizens information that half of your earnings up to 425 are taken into account. So say I earn 300€ per week. Income disregard of 90€ for mortgage payment. So assessable means is 210€. Would I divide that by two therefore getting a payment of 90€?
    Thanks for any input.

    Personal allowance of 188
Additional allowance of 29.80 for each child dependant.

Earnings of 300-90=210/2=105 so take that 105(approximately) from your 188+29.8 times number of kids to get what your rate would be.

The 90 is an income disregard and not relevant to the mortgage/rent.
