Hi, my mother has a first generation a A Class needing a new brake light bulb. In have the part ordered but would like some advice on fitting it. A quick Google around hasn't yielded much. Does anybody know how tricky this is?

    Thanks

OK, a further lonely post in a thread only made up of my posts. But just in case anybody else faces this in the future it is very easy to replace the bulb. There are small access hatches in the trim behind the lights in the boot. There's a plastic carrier that holds the bulbs which can be easily withdrawn and the bulb replaced. It takes only a minute. However, I did have the slight problem that the replacement bulb I had was for an ever so slightly different fitting and it required a little bit of effort to get it in. However, if you have the correct bulb I think it would be no problem. Just check the number on the existing item as you remove it (I couldn't as I had to order in advance without access to the car).
