Quantity Surveying placement.

As part of our third year studying QS we have to take part in a 6 week placement, I've applied for a few now and only heard back from them a month later when I contacted them by phone, good thing I did cause I may have been kept waiting. So now its back to the drawing board and I've applied to a few big contractors in Galway. Does anyone here know any large contractors or PQS firms that would be worth applying too?

Ideally placement in either Clare or Galway would be perfect since I'm found Clare and I'm paying rent in Galway so moving to another county is out of the question with the massive rent increase this year for student accommodation although Limerick is possible to commute to.

82 individuals between Clare and Galway. Obviously fewer firms. Note that the experience between private practice and a contractor will be quite different. I would start with private practice if possible.
