I think we should have a monument to Roy Keane who is truly one of our greatest - ever!

But before I start lobbying the taxpayer for funding, I need to get some agreement on 'Greatest what'.

Here are a few issues we should consider before we decide.
Bear in mind that nobody, or even anybody has to be wrong.

Nobody can say RK wasn't a great soccer player.
Anybody can say he was a vicious soccer player.

Nobody can say RK wasn't confident.
Anybody can say he was arrogant.

Nobody can say RK was wrong that the Saipan resources were not the best.
Anybody can say an iconic national representative needs to get over himself.

Nobody can say RK doesn't talk the talk.
Anybody can say he doesn't walk the walk (see above and below).

Nobody can say RK shouldn't walk his dog.
Anybody can say Trigger can tough it out while his master earns the price of dogfood.

Nobody can say RK isn't a prolific writer.
Anybody can say it's useful to have a Ghost (or two) to blame for stuff you say you didn't mean.

Nobody can say RK has to sign his own (second) biography for anybody.
Anybody can say politeness is a tricky skill, even for a talented footballer.

Nobody can say RK has to answer any journalist's question.
Anybody can say an interview is not a combat sport.

Nobody can say RK is stupid.
Anybody can say the "Don't be a D*ckHead 101" class is not passable.

No offence Royston K - feel free to chip in if you want.

He is crazy but the good kind of crazy, funny crazy, his book was a rough read, very entertaining but morbidly sad and awful at the same time.

The man needs a shrink big time, please note for the purposes of any FYP I said shrink not drink.

He gave us the (anatomically improbable) phrase "Stick it up your bollocks."

He deserves some credit for that alone.

I'm moving soon and went to see an apartment last night here in Brussels. The guy showing us around was Albanian. When he heard my accent he asked where I was from.

    "I'm Irish" I said.

He shook his head sadly uttering two words: "Roy Keane".

No he doesn't. He takes a hard line on things but he often flip flops.

    1. He said something along the lines of him never doing punditry. Then he showed up on ITV.

    2. He had an iron will to win but at least twice got deliberately sent off to settle personal scores.

    3. He speaks about professionalism but there are numerous stories of him being anything but (drinking before games, drunken fights with team mates etc.)

The fella is pure box office but he's a walking contradiction.

I love the way people feel the need to put the word "band" before "Ride" to avoid confusion... :)

Watched him last night as the national Anthem was being played.

Chewing gum and looking around the place as if he didn't give a f**k, which he probably didn't.

    He's a disgrace.
