summer work experience

    I'm a mature student studying a level 5 course in cloud computing in Cork, I have some previous programming experience in Java before I started the course and am studying Java and C# among other subjects. I'm hoping to transfer to Computer science in UCC next year. I'm wondering if it is possible to get practical work experience during the summer months? I am on back to education allowance so I will be getting dole during the summer so I would be willing to work for free just to get the experience. Any advice on how I would go about doing so would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
