As the title. Pulled out the leaky power steering pipe on the jimny today and went hunting for a new one. Suzuki want a daft amount of money and the local lads can't make something that fits. Anywhere decent near Kildare/Offaly/Meath?

    Thanks

Hosetech are pretty good when it comes to hydraulic lines and they have a place in D12.

John or Paul in Rampower in Toughers. Sound lads and if they don't have it they'll get it for you.

If you getting a 1 inch hydraulic hose up it's normally about 5-7 euro a fitting/adapter. 40/50 off suzuki?

    427 ex vat.

To be fair they didn't sell the bit of pipe seperatly but even for two hydraulic hoses thats a bit steep. Laughed down the phone.

And no there isn't a decimal point missing there....

fook. It's a while now since I was at it but I think it was about 10 euro a metre for hose and about 5 euro for a fitting. This was in a local shop.

Only hoping Rampower have the fitting. Or something that will do the job. Not paying 500 euro for a poxy hose

A 1" hydraulic hose? You obviously dont know what your talking about....

Maybe you could try a breakers yard.

Neither rampower or pirtek have anything that suits. Oh bother. Off to a scrapyard. Just proves how hard getting a nut can be.

You could try hose doctor on the nangor rd Dublin

Got the part number from the folks at BigJimny forum. The union and the short length of pipework. It's 20gbp there. Happy Days. My local Suzuki dealer is clueless.

Mine went on a paj, they wanted silly money for main dealer parts so I made them up from hydraulic stuff. That fitting you posted did look very oddball tho.

Calm down!!! thought it didn't sound right! I measured it from a memory of a hose lying on the ground from about 7 years ago :D. I was only talking about the rough price of hose and connecters to compare with others, was I close? Think once I paid about 45 quid for a 3m hose with an adapter at either end.

We do hoses in the shop and there must be something in the air (or on the road)
as thisis the 4th time in 10 days I've seen this.

I've not had the part in stock as we only carry 400ish part numbers in stock but our supplier has had them each time. 4 hour turn around.

    Glad you got sorted though.

As for the row about 1" hose // 30 quid a meter incl vat and1" fittings start at over a tenner each
