Is it a good idea to send out Cvs in November or December or just wait until january? Does recruitment come to a halt at this time of year in general?

    Many thanks,

You should check out some of the recruitment/jobs sites, but I would imaine it'd be no harm to send out your cv now, places are always looking for extra staff this time of year. (With a bit of luck they'll keep you on after the new year).

Plenty of seasonal work in Nov/Dec. Why wait? Send out the cv's and start applying asap

A lot of companies will be hiring now for new starts in Jan. No time like the present!

Agree with the others, start looking now.

Job hunt immediately, i know a hell of a lot of multinationals would of had their HR directors over in the last month or so to finalise job numbers for the new year. This is usually when local HR is then given the go-ahead to advertise positions and interview.

Its a good time of year to be looking usually. With many companies offering a start date in January.

Yep especially if they have budget to use up, this time of year has gotten me three jobs in the past, it's uncanny

Usually November is where we will line up all of our candidates who are due to start in the new year.

I actually find November/December the busiest months for recruitment.

I think it's good to always look for jobs no matter what time of the year.
For example, you could have someone leaving their job in Janauary so the employer is looking at people from now.

But the whole "no jobs going at this time of the year" steams from Retail. While that sure, some retailers take on people even in December, alot would have their Christmas staff locked in at this point. To train them in a bit before it gets really busy. But thats just one industry.
