Yes the G20 has made it that all bank deposits will be simple shareholders at with no bank grantees for all G20 members and their side kicks like ROI ,Holland Belgium Greece you name it .

So if you got ~€100,000 in Irish bank presently guaranteed then soon if the Irish bank goes belly up you will join the long line of creditors and be lucky to get ~€1000 euros back

Why would any Irish Bank go belly up? Bank of Ireland is profitable (and about to have its ratings upgraded if rumours are to be believed) and AIB + PTSB are State owned. The guarantee is no longer relevant.
