    Hi,

Just wondering has anyone done this from the board and what was your experience of the event and where did you stay?

    http://blog.ardechoise.com/en/parcours/ardechoise/

I finished La Marmotte this year so just wondering is it as well run as Marmotte was.

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Ha, not quite.

I need another goal or I will turn into a fat mess again.

Never heard of this one. Looks like it would be an ideal sportive for the time of year-no high altitude climbs, so less chance of really dodgy weather, plus for a nervous descender like me, I much prefer the shorter downhills in this. Also, looks like logistics would be not so much of a hassle-Lyon isn't too far away and there are plenty of options for flying there. Not sure about 278km though....

I didnt like the 40km after Galibier and just before Alpe D'huez. Thought it was boring (apart from the death tunnels!). I would have no problem doing it again if it just involved all the climbs!

The Alps Boring? from a man who does repeats of Howth day in and day out!

    I have simple tastes.

Sorry boring was the wrong word. The descent was amazing, but was just plodding along before that long straight before D'huez. Maybe in the back of my mind it was those three tunnels that put the ****s up me. Eyes didn't adjust for about 15 seconds and the car behind me and the cops whizzing by slightly put me off! lol
