    Hello,

Apologies if this has already been covered but would anyone have any advice on where to get a CV professionally updated in Dublin?

    Thanks 😊

I'm not sure I get you.

Is there some reason that you cannot do it yourself? Or are you looking for support on how to structure it, etc?

I wouldn't recommend doing this. you should know your own CV like the back of your hand. Maybe ask a few people that you know have decent looking CV's and use it as a template for structure. Make it concise with bullet points etc.

What I mean is that I would like someone to look at it and advise me how best to structure it.
I know my cv of course but I want the layout and wording to be as strong as possible.

You will need to tailor your CV for each job you apply for anyway.

Well if you give us an idea of how it is structured, i.e. what kind of content you have included and in what order, then we may be able to offer some pointers.

I know the library in the Ilac had a free information evening recently on CV's and the like, it might be worth dropping in to see if they're having anything like that again?

Loads of people offering this. Do a quick search and read some reviews.
Paid for this service a few years ago. Would highly recommend. Had a cv afterwards that looked excellent.

Sli Nua Careers are good - they will do a free review and you have the option of implementing the recommendations yourself if you do not want them to do it, good experience with the Mayo office (they have a Dublin one too).

Paying for the creation of your CV is hit and miss... but I would say more miss than hit being honest. It is just one of those services where you will encounter alot of bluff.

There was a person who offered the service for 50 euro on adverts.ie and erm, yeah, imo it wasnt worth 50 to put it nicely.
Anyone with Microsoft Word and a hard neck can 'professional create a CV that will earn more attention and statistical improve your chances of employment!' ;) .... of course, for €xx.99
