anyone on here ever look for planning to change an agricultural building to a different use. and more specifically a change of use after building the building under the exempt planning permission of rural development, class 6 exemption ?

    +1

And - if there are any planning experts - difficulties / ease of getting ESB poles (small double line) moved when agricultural exempt planning involved..

    We'll provide the trench..!

If you can show/demonstrate that the existing overhead line/double line could put your family or visitors or sheds/buildings/livestock in jeopardy if the cable was to fall during a storm.

We were putting up a new slatted unit at home and the lines would have been very close. One phone call and twas sorted. They moved two poles no bother. And then for some reason left four new poles behind them in the yard. Plenty of strainers here.

As far as I know ( i may be wrong) It depends on what category you want to change it to and the area of the existing buildings already in this category on the farm. For example you wanted to change this class 6 building (housing for sheep/cattle) to a class 9 building (haybarns, machinery shed) and the gross area of the proposed building change and existing buildings in this class exceed 300m2 then you'd need planning permission. Eg the building in question was 200m2 and an existing haybarn in the yard was 100m2 , then permission would be needed to change its use.

If it's built longer than 5yrs, I think you can apply for retention in whichever class you want.

I have went the right route to obtain planning and got fxcked over

So now im going to use the planning legislation as defined in law to my advantage

I have had 6 planning application in with our council since 2006

    6 different planners
not 1 of them is from the county
