Aer Lingus Flex Fares

I booked an EI Flex fare as it was refundable. I cancelled it but they did not refund €7 service fee as it states it's non refundable in the booking process. I don't remember seeing it, and just went to make another booking and don't see it mentioned anywhere including the T&Cs. Instead all I see is Full refund when cancelled prior to the flight scheduled departure time.

    Has anyone experienced this?

I can understand it, you still did make the booking.

Yep, I've been through this, and can't believe they still haven't fixed it. They have inconsistent wording all over their site. The bottom line is that the terms and conditions says "Full refund", without any mention of any fee (do a dummy booking a take a screenshot in case they change it).

Good luck chasing them. I think it took me 3 months to get my full refund, involving old fashioned tasks like phoning them and sending complaint letters. I think they just got tired of me in the end.

I've finally found out where it says it. You have to hover over the tick beside full refund. I'll send them in a letter and pester them constantly. I know its only €7 but its the principal.

Any idea how to actually get a response from Aer Lingus. I just get generic responses to customer feedback form.

They tend to reply quicker if you post to their Facebook page or send them a tweet @aerlingus
