Pubmed server cannot be found?

    Is anyone else having difficulty getting onto pubmed? Or even just NCBI? I keep getting the error 'Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found'

    :/ definitely not working for me in safari or firefox!

    Found an apple support article saying to change DNS, that worked instantly without even restarting safari. What is it my isp blocking pubmed?
    Your second link changing the IP address works (slowly) on the iPhone (didn't change DNS on it)

    So if both the IP and a DNS change have worked - it's just DNS server issues with your ISP. They're not actively blocking the website. ISP DNS servers tend to go down from time to time or experience issues. You'll inevitably come across it again at some stage during your lifetime.


    I'd recommend the OpenDNS servers as good alternatives.

    It turns out that my mobile provider had it blocked due to 'adult content'! Even though I'm an adult... And it's pubmed not some form of meat market!
