I know this topic has been done to death but hey, it's that time of year:rolleyes: So can anybody recommend something for me? Sick of oilcoats - I may as well jump in a lake as wear one of them!

Drytex range, made by The O'Connor Group. Got mine from local CoOp
Not cheap at €70, I think. I wear it inside a Flexothane coat which leaks now but protects the lighter material, when it's more than a passing shower.

lidl have great windproof waterproof and breathable jackets quiet often, under 20euro, there very light but very good, you wouldn't think it by looking at them. bought one last year for walking n cycling in the winter, perfect job.
