Any opinions or knowledge on the accord below would be appreciated. Seems to tick all the boxes.

Listing POA instead of the proper asking price would loose my interest with the seller straight away. The car looks like a basic entry level model, there are some decent higher spec ones out there.

It's priced at 4500 on another website.

I'll keep looking. Thanks for the response

Well it's worth a look at anyway if the spec is not of utmost importance.

The SR trim is one up from the base model (SE),it has a basic enough trim, 7th generation model was face-lifted in 2006...new headlights..front grille etc. Here's a list of the spec levels starting with the base SE,SR, Type S and Execute, a lot of UK models were imported like the ES GT, basically the Irish Type S with sometimes added extras like SAT NAV, I have a 2007 2.0 Type S myself best car I ever bought. There should be loads of really good examples out there, aim for Type S level and above.

There seems to be a lot more diesel examples then petrol.

I can't find many clean examples in the price range of 5k that is also petrol.

I have the Type S with 7 years and love it,bullet proof almost.

    I think the 38MPG is overstated,from what i remember its actually 28/29MPG

Sorry didn't see the 5k reference, you may need to dig a bit deeper into your pockets, a cheap Honda is a cheap Honda for a reason....be warned

What about something like a Civic saloon:

That model Civic is not that much smaller than the Accord, 1.8 is also very good on fuel.

What would be considered high millage for an accord?

Only looking at the petrol model as I don't do a whole lot of miles.
Probably 10k a year, maybe less.

Hard to say, could be over a million miles. It is all about regular maintenance.

We have on 05 since late 08. Bought at 80k, now just hit 250k. No niggly issues in 6 years. No bushings rod arm etc replaced yet. Chain and manifold with injectors replaced at 150k all covered by Honda on extended warranty to cover those specific items. Only major spend in 6yrs was 3 months ago for a new clutch and flywheel at 240k. Never changed before so and they all go at some stage. Mainly wife's car but one criticism is the poor seats. If you suffer with a bad back they are crap. Mondeo 10 times better seats. V reliable though and I believe the 06+ ones have resolved the chain issue. Nice on Honda to cover the parts. Could not see BMW do that!. Oh replaced abs sensor a yr ago €150> that's all. Great car. Serviced every 12500 miles. As said earlier. FSH V important.
