Ideas for Exposed Concrete Block

I am looking for ideas for a function room in the country. The internal walls are exposed concrete blocks, currently painted to a smokey effect. I am looking for any ideas that I could use to give the place a facelift..

Would you fit panels to the walls. They wouldn't have to cover the entire wall just sections. Just be careful that anything you put on the walls has a Class 0 fire rating, which is required for any public spaces.
