my 7 year old netbook will not connect to the Internet, have tried deleting all old network connections and re installing but it will not detect any networks. Any ideas? I am thinking the network adaptor has died?

I would think your assumption is correct, as I have heard of the same happening on those netbooks in the past. From memory it's not particularly difficult, or expensive to replace that part however.

To make sure, right click on My Computer, click manage, and then click on devices on the left hand side. And see if you can see a wireless network adapter. If you can't then you can be pretty certain it's dead.

You also have to weigh up just how much you want to invest in an old machine...

Thanks Alan, it is a great little machine though so it may be worth doing, thanks again!
