So tell me why is a visit to the hairdresser so expensive, €110 for a cut and colour in Wexford town, €74 in Enniscorthy. why the big difference in price, and while I am at it, why oh why do hairdressers blast my hair with a red hot hairdryer 1mm from my scalp, its total madness and really annoying.

You're paying for the time, products, overheads, skill etc of the hairdresser - like most services, the price varies from business to business, often because of rates etc but also because some really good ones can command a high price and enough people will think it's worth it to keep them in business!
I just got a full head of highlights for €65 (would have been €70 had I needed a cut too) but I'd happily pay up to double that because I'm really happy with my hairdresser.
If you're not happy with the way your hairdresser does your hair you have the option of telling them so and asking them to change their method, or of course there's the option of finding a different hairdresser.

I pay 35 euro for a cut with a great hairdresser in carlow. I stopped dyeing my hair as its too time consuming and expensive. And my natural colour is fine.
