From reading other threads, there's video to show its not photoshopped.

Yes. It may have been processed and enhanced, but it is not a composite.

There is video of the incident.

Also the video at the bottom of this article (from a different angle).

So, 'no' would be your definitive answer.

BTW, that just proves how dangerous a little knowledge can be -"look at the pixels" is what you'd expect to see on a meme.

It's jpeg compression that gives it that pixelation.

I think the pic has been changed as in the video it looks like the brick has a much lower trajectory than in the photo where the brick looks to be quite high

Facebook went mad with this last night with people calling for boycotts of the Indo etc.

It's mad how quickly hysteria can be whipped up and how quickly people come to conclusions based on a link with an agenda on facebook.

People are really gullible and very easily swayed by propaganda. It's quite scary really.

I don't think they would be bold enough to photoshop something incriminating like this, the scandal would be outrageous.

Edit: That being said, if they were sent the image/got rights to use it after seeing it somewhere else it could have been manipulated.

After seeing the video footage it seems it's not photoshopped.

Either way it's a disappointing outcome that's it's come to this.

Ah there's a whole thread on that whackpack of utter nutters DDI over here...http://touch.boards.ie/thread/post/92889347.

Even as the conspiracy was easily debunked they're still carrying it as a story on their FB. The comments are a hoot.

There are other photos which show the man seconds before, and seconds after the supposedly photoshopped image was taken.

    Moments before...
    II+TG+RIOTER+JOBSTOWN+1.jpg

    Moments after...
    II+TG+RIOTER+JOBSTOWN+3.jpg

It clearly documents the incident in a set of photos.

bizarre that the reaction was not an immediate one of 'we distance ourselves...' etc.

It's obvious that's the local youth if you watch the various video in full, they don't need any encouragement to have a 'ruck' with the cops.

Looks like the owner of the site has deleted the page. I guess they realised how stupid their article was.

It's ironic as the article copied the Irish Indipendants report as a backup in case they deleted the article from their website :P

The whole saga from brick throwing to not trusting the media is a reflection of the sorry state of affairs in Ireland.

It was pretty slanderous so I would imagine that was the primary motivation for pulling it down.
