Mercedes spare key options

Hi, I recently picked up a mercedes slk with no spare key and just wandering if anyone has any experience of options for replacement and of course the cost involved. I have to get one just in case I lose the one I have so any help would be great..

I've never had any success using anything other than main dealer. DO NOT buy from eBay, these keys cannot be re-programmed no matter what they say.

Thanks for that, do you mind me askin a ballpark price?

Edit:Lucky for me the previous owner contacted me and he has the spare key and valet key, plus as bonus a folder of recipts and documentation to support the millage and history.

moral is it pays to be president something! Lol
