electrolux fridge\freezer problems

My electrolux fridge\freezer has decided to start acting up. The freezer section has stopped working altogether resulting in the dumping of all its contents. The OH is :(. Its an american style fridge and was bought in 2006. Anyone have similar issues. Any help would be great.

If the compressor motor was still running when this happened unplug it and let it defrost, you could also undo the bottom back panel and check the unit for dust build up as this can cause all sorts of problems with overheating. if the fridge runs ok after defrost for up to approx 2 weeks it probably has heater defrost failure
