    I must admit i'd never heard of this, i stumbled across it on FB. It looks fairly insane, an 87 Km climb :eek::eek: with segments in the last 15 Km of between 15 to 27% :eek:. Nicole cook is giving it a go tomorrow.

    Nicole Cooke finished it today ;)

    Mark Dowling of Ireland was in the top 15 I think.

    Wow, didn't know Mark Dowling was doing it, he must be in great condition. Something like $38k US for the winner.

    The organisers took a great stance against doping in that they allowed no ex-dopers to do the race. I rode some of the mountains to the east of the summit earlier in the year. Absolutely beautiful if not isolating up there when on your own.

    He was 10th and seemed disappointed with that. Very cold and wet according to reports.

    Fantastic result. Last 8km at gradients of 20+%.

    I think,after the 2013 edition, that the organisers had no other option, than to adopt a zero tolerance to dopers.
