Gas boiler not working, light flashing on unknown symbol.

My Immergas zues mini gas boiler has recently stopped working. The manual guide left in the apartment is for a slightly different model than mine. So the "trouble shooting" guide isn't worth much to me.

Here's what I'm seeing...the green light is flashing above a symbol at the 90deg location.

    6C4310B057D04AB5A372BBF9855B39F7-0000321256-0003695646-00640L-C5E2A8E4657E4534ABF594E864D9683A.jpg

Does anyone know what the symbol is?

Just to add: there seems to be no ignition happening and therefore no comforting whoosh that usually leads to a nice warm water experience.

Good lord your telling the OP to break the law. Don't go near the boiler. The only person allowed is a RGI.

I said only go near the boiler IF your a spark or a plumber. The problem sounds electrical to me so what's wrong with an electrician having a look at it. This PC stuff drives me nuts. You could be 30 years in the electrical game and because you don't register and pay another stealth tax you can't carry out work you could have done 12 months ago.

MOD: please refrain from giving illegal advice.

You still cannot go near the insides of a Gas Boiler even if you are an Electrician or a Plumber unless you are a Registered Gas Installer.
Suggesting to someone to disconnect a safety device on a Gas Boiler to get it to run is dangerous and irresponsible.
And the law regarding who can or cannot work on a Gas Boiler (or any Gas appliance for that matter) has been around for a lot longer than 12 Months.

I think the 90 temp is a bit of a red herring. As the light is flashing and boiler is not working I think it's the symbol below, with the x going through it, is what is intended to be read. But I don't know what that symbol indicates.

I wouldn't attempt any work on a boiler but I would like to know what was kinda wrong with it before a gas serviceman comes out.

As chance would have it I had it booked in for a service but this wasn't to be until the 27th.

All us you RGI's know its the law but lets not forget lads, we also know a very large percentage of the numties we require the OP to go looking for may well be legally entitled to look at his boiler but are likely not to have a clue about his boiler. I would suggest the OP looks for a recommendation here perhaps.

I have a company that knows the boiler already. I used them for the last service a year or so ago and I already have them booked in for a service but not until the 27th. So I'll call them tomorrow to see if I can get bumped up the list.

However it would give me a head start if I knew what the icon stood for. I can give the compajy prior warning to what will greet them.

It's the icon below the green light that I'd like to know what it means.

Google the exact make and model of the boiler manual. They are all on the internets these days in pdf

Yep, I've tried that a no joy. The only model that comes up is the same as the manual that was left with the boiler. A different model with different warning icons. I've searched internet as best I know to find either the manual or what that icon means and jo joy.

Try ringing RVR http://www.rvr.ie/Advice/Website/Contact_Us/4_0/ on Monday they maybe able to help you out as their the distributors.

You maybe better off getting one of their own service guys to call to repair your boiler as they carry all the parts.

What you have is a slightly different version with a different facia.
The model you have looks like an
    Immergas Avio 24 kw export.
But I cannot find a manual for it to see what the indicator relates to.
The picture you took is slightly off focus on the symbol. If you could post a clearer picture of the symbol we might be able to figure it out.
BTW have you tried to reset the boiler.

    What a palava...

The flashing green light was indicating a vent flue problem. The plumber decided it was most likely a fan issue and luckily he had a replacement in the van. Unfortunately this didn't work either. This was last thursdsy. A new appointmet was made for Tuesday.

On Tuesday he decided it wasn't a fan issue and investigated a little further and found this...

    C16CA247A15946298E01F6AF35B6DCBD-0000321256-0003698489-00640L-30B816CBE40A40419527F1473DE69B0C.jpg

    That's a heat exchanger.

A new one was ordered and a new appointment made for today. They brought the wrong one. The original one was a 77 fin model and the one he brought was for sn 88. A new appointment made, roll on Monday.
