    Hopefully someone can help.

Have had two sticks of RAM sitting on the desk, just didn't get around to it until AC:Unity decided to use all I had in there. Anyways, put the two sticks in this morning and on reboot a screen appears saying memory failed CPU test in Channel B, and to unplug and insert again. This doesn't seem to help. Hitting F1 allows me to continue bootup but only the Channel A RAM is available then.

All sticks show up in UEFI but it too states only Channel A quantity as available.

    Specs:
    i5-4670k
    ASRock Z87 Extreme6
    G.Skill DDR3 10666- 2x4GB in channel A, 2x2GB in channel B
    Radeon HD7870
    Corsair 500W
    Samsung 840 Pro & 1TB WD HDD

Have you ever used MemTest86? I would use it to check each ram stick individually and 2 at a time and then all together.
    http://www.memtest86.com/

Are they all the same brand/model of ram?

All same model yes, have had them in another computer I had built working no problem.

Will give memtest a go in the morning.

On start up hit delete and enter the bios, go and have a look at you ram settings, make sure all sticks are dialed in at the same speed.
Do it first with the two original sticks first, see what speed they are set at,
    DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)
    DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
    DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
    DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000)
    DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000)
    DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)
    DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200)
    DDR3 2600 (PC3 20800)
    DDR3 2666 (PC3 21300)
    DDR3 2800 (PC3 22400)

Then add in the two new sticks, and go back to bios, and see if all 4 stick are at the same speed.

With ASRock boards, ram cam be set to run faster then the speed on the lable, even setting XMP profiles by accident can run ram at odd speeds unknown to the user. Then there is AMP, this can also be set up, and is easy to set wrong on an ASRock board.

AMD Memory Profile (AMP) and Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) technology allow you to utilize preapproved memory overclocking settings to get the best performance from your memory.

So look at all the loaded sticks while in your bios, to see they are all set the same.

I checked what settings were present(could only find settings for an XMP profile) couldn't find anywhere what they actually were. The RAM was running at 9-9-9-24 when the sticker says 7-7-7-21, changed the numbers but it made no difference.

I just switched the channels each pair was on and it now recognises 12GB! Makes no sense to me.
