Would this include frying pans and bin liners for example

I don't think it includes front pans and bin liners, if you click on the link and look at the list of the left I think that's all that's included but maybe call into your local argos and see...

Even being on the list to the left of the 'homewares' page does not mean it's included. I've just been into an Argos store enquiring about a dyson heater (super expensive, but with 25% off, well, maybe) and a phone call to the sales division confirmed it wasn't included. But if you're after cushions and curtains and accessories, you should be ok.

Mother in law went it to enquire about the discount on two sofas. Was told its only on the items that you are brought to when you click on the banner. Banner said 25% off all homewares. Would sofas be considered homewares? Chap on til says it runs til Christmas eve.

    No.
    Sofas are furniture.

Well it seems a grey area as dictionary explanation of homeware is: crockery, furniture, and furnishings with which a house, room, etc, is furnished

I'd imagine not, that'd be electrical appliance or something. Could be wrong though.

When you click on the ad for this discount on the homepage it takes you through to a list of categories which includes bedroom, heaters and coolers, home furnishings, living room (including living room furniture, sofas, armchairs, and chairs), other rooms, and storage.

So basically nothing that anyone is looking for is included?

Bedroom, home furnishings, living room (including furniture, sofas, armchairs, and chairs), other rooms and storage covers a lot of stuff.

    True.

But nothing that anyone is looking for.

Edit: It mentions further up that sofas aren't included.

Argos have a separate 'Kitchenware' section- which includes laundry and related odds and ends- separate to their 'homeware' section.

    See here: http://www.argos.ie/static/Browse/ID72/14418477/c_1/1|category_root|Kitchen+and+laundry|14418476/c_2/2|cat_14418476|Kitchenware|14418477.htm

Note- they do seem to have some interesting offers in there too- but none on the Actifry (which I'd love too!)

How about Roller Blinds? Covered in the 25% off?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 207 ✭✭murphf

Thanks op.. Looking for a new duvet and dd needs a mattress topper .. Duvet is 64, topper is 44, (already discounted) but they are buy one get one half price .. The 25% says on top of other offers so I guess that's 64 + 22 = 86 - 25% = 64.50? Or which discount is applied first I wonder ? Can you reserve online ?

My wife was told the offer is over in the Sligo store. It's still on the site, albeit with a seemingly reduced selection.

Got 25%off an electric blanket today in Jervis St. They had to manually take the discount off.

Now to bring the one I got in boots online back to them. :)
