Joe is the everyman prude. David Savage's portrayal of him in The Savage Eye was bang on the money. He is milking the Irish persons love of a moan.

Seems like a decent man to be fair and doesn't shun his working class roots.I wouldn't be a huge fan of his radio show, but his heart is in the right place.

    Joe's getting pleasantly plump.

I'd say he'd walk away from a good pooh.

The Late Late is the most morbid load of shíte on telly.

And Liveline is the most morbid load of shíte on the radio.

Joe is a rabble rouser who plays on his working class background. He has to be the most biased presenter on radio. The radio show is cringeworthy. An absolute self obsessed Muppet.

Brendan Grace, telling the same stupid jokes for the last 30 years. And still getting away with it.

I used to listen every day for about 3 years for comedy reasons. The boards thread on it was great. But the show really is terrible. If you agree with Joe he'll let loads of callers on that agree and support you. Anyone that interrupts you will be told to be quiet. If you disagree with Joe you'll probably only get one other caller on to support you, people on joes side of the argument will be freely allowed to interrupt.
Joe regularly gives out about stealth taxes and extra charges. The TV licence will never be mentioned. There's 2 things than you can mention that will get a change of subject faster than you can imagine. That's the TV licence and Joes wages. Usually the way of changing the subject is Joe pretending you never even said it.
Also, Joe loves to play on his working class background. He loves talking about the great old life in "Ballyer". I reckon every second show he mentions Ballyfermot. What he never mentions is that the second he made money he moved out of there to Clontarf. But that's on the north side, so it can't be posh, he's still a man of the people.

    Save it for the bedroom.
