I worked with a company from 2005-2008 and has left. Started with with a new company. That employer had given me a woeful reference. And actually stated I was dismissed. Which isn't true. Ticked everything as unacceptable. But it was after my 6 months probation. My new employer received this. Things got difficult from then on. As from one of my previous posts. Now that I've gotten all of my stuff back from the company from 2008-2013 i had seen this. I'm not one bit impressed. Can Anything be done.

You might have a chance under the Defamation Act, but you would have to be able to prove that the statements were false. Best to talk to a lawyer specialising in defamation cases.
