Put a distance of 500km on my trek 1.5 since August.

Chainring to my inexperienced eyes looks very worn.

Might have neglected oiling the chain. :o Do I need to replace more than the chain?

You're OK - chainrings do look like that. The sightly diffent teeth help keep everything smooth.

You should be lubing the chain mind...

Chain looks fine. Clean it and re-lube it.

That chainring is not worn. The different sizes of the teeth are to help shifting. If you want to know if your chain is worn, the easiest way is with a chain wear gauge. It's a tool which is well worth the money, because it will tell you when to change a chain before it starts wearing the cassette. Your chain looks barely used btw.

    Just break it off.

A little gentle persuasion with the pliers did the trick. Thank you.

Chain is way too clean. Get out in the rain and muck with rest of us.

Is your rear wheel seated properly in the drop outs? See last pic. Looks like there's a gap.
