I'm in new York at the moment, in general would it be cheaper to buy a tablet here or at home?

    Cheers for your help

There. But it would probably cost an arm and a leg (:P) to ship it home.

All models of the Apple iPad are cheaper in NYC than in Ireland, even allowing for the 8.875% sales tax and the 2.25% FX on the credit card. Net savings would be in the order of €55-85. If you say what models (no more than two please) that you're thinking of, I can give you the exact comparisons.

The thread title by the way refers to a buying a 'table' in NYC, hence the reply above.
