A mate of mine brought a second hand s4 from done deal. the phone worked grand when we looked at it. But there seems to be problems with it now.

What's happening now is the phone will turn it self off once below 50%. there also seems to be a issue with the signal strength as well once below 50%. when the phone is full charge it works perfectly.

The phone was originally 02 but the guy had it unlocked to any network.
We brought it into vodafone first and they said it was an 02 issue. My mate brought it into a computer shop today and told the guy the problem. he told him its one of 3 things.
    1. the battery
    2. the motherboard
    3. the software
They didn't have a battery so he has one ordered. We tried vodafone on the off chance they had one. your man told us it cant be battery as if it was the phone would just stop working.

So any ideas what it is. if its a software issue. i can root the phone and change the software. but I think myself it could be the battery. just looking for some help and input. I should also note we have lost the number of the guy we brought the phone off so have no way off contacting him.
