Cold feed to open vent system getting hot

    Hi guys i have a quick question,i have a dual system back boiler and oil boiler,the when the oil boiler is on the feed from the header tank to the central heating is getting hot(seems to be the water in the cylinder is heating the coil then heating the cold feed)the feed is on the back boiler side.I this ok.Also there are check valves.Thanks guys

    On an open system the "cold feed" works as the expansion and it is normal for it to get hot. What isn't normal is if there is water coming out of the vent pipe that hooks in over the top of the header tank.

    I have lost you on the second part of the question.
