Planning a 7 day trip in early January with our two 20 year olds who are not into clubbing but would still like a resort with nice bars and restaurants and a bit of a buzz at night. I'm not familiar with the Islands as have only been once to Puerto Del Carmen. I'm leaning towards Gran Canaria and maybe Maspalomas area but…

Planning a 7 day trip in early January with our two 20 year olds who are not into clubbing but would still like a resort with nice bars and restaurants and a bit of a buzz at night. I'm not familiar with the Islands as have only been once to Puerto Del Carmen. I'm leaning towards Gran Canaria and maybe Maspalomas area but really nice accommodation is hard to come by. We won't do a hotel - a nice 2 bed apartment or a 2 bed villa would be our preference. Any advice on island, resort or accommodation would be much appreciated.
