    Hi all,

Have any of you bouth this game?

I was tempted to pre-purchase, but i had something nagging in the back of my head and am now glad i didn't.

Turns out the thing is full of glitches and bugs, and that Ubisoft forced reviewers to withold reviews untill after the launch.

What has your experience been with it?

I really want to play it, but not untill it's release ready.

No way i'll buy this yet. It's utterly broken apparently. Give it a month or two and it should be better, though the performance is supposed to be terrible on all but very high spec machines.

Too broken. Loved AC: Black Flag, but I've seen way too much crap about this title to actually buy it.

Apparently my current GTX 650 won't even run it decently at low, which is frankly ridiculous considering the amount of fairly recent games I can run on high.

Wasn't TB faced with massive tearing issues, lag and stutters while using SLI GTX 980s. That's just pathetic.

is this related to the ubisoft and steam thing when ubi pulled all their new titles from steam then put them back?

Nope, they just released an insanely buggy game, with massive performance issues.

It's a shame really, as I love the series, and would have probably picked it up pretty soon if it hadn't been such a mess.

332 meg patch just out on Steam for it.

He was mentioning that the recommended minimum was something insane like a 680. It's almost as if no optimisation was done at all with the game or something crazy like that.

The reviews have been outlining a horror story. It seems to be completely broken. You would wonder how they thought they would get away with releasing such a buggy game.

By setting the review embargo to expire on release day obviously.

Absolutely mental. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/graphics_cards_buy_now_uk.html is a pretty handy comparison between various nVidia cards.

My 650 can run Shadows of Morder on high with no real lag and Skyrim with dozens of enhancement mods at high at a decent 45+ fps. Black Flag ran at an Ultra/High mix.

Absolutely shocking job done on the optimization.

This is one of the reasons why normally I do not buy a game for the PC when is mentioned first for a console. What they should have done and yes it would p$ss people off but nearly all companies do it was get the game out for the consoles. Wait a few months then release the PC port as they have not F'ED it up for all platforms not just the PC
