    Hey All,
Let me first apologise for the long thread, but really need advise.

    Looking for some advice please.
I'm currently working for a company in the midlands.
Everyone that was hired was put on a 6 month probation period, a standard policy in the company.
After the 6 months probation is up there is a 6 month review, where by you either pass or fail or get another 3-6 months further probation added to your current probation period.
If you pass your probation period you get a pay rise, which they try to talk you out of too by taking a voucher instead!!
When I was in the company for 5 months my supervisor decided to put me on a different job, totally different to what I was on. Therefore I had to be trained again. My supervisor was under the illusion that because I was already on the hardest job on site and was good at it, he thought I would take to the new position after a week or two.
So I've now been on my new position for 1 month, making it 6 months in the company.

Anyway, I just had my 6 month review yesterday with my supervisor.
He went through everything, clock ins, missed time, sick days etc, all of which were perfect.
Then he came to my work, he said my work on the first line was good that I was reaching my targets and everything was fine.
But my work on the second line was bad, I wasn't reaching my targets and my paperwork was full of mistakes(the paperwork is also different to what I was use to on the previous line) He only looked at one paperwork and said "I never want to see another paper work come up to me like that again" even though I had my mistakes properly marked out as we were trained. I haven't reached my targets quickly as it's taking me time to learn how to make the new product properly AND he took me off training too quickly (after 2 weeks!!!)
Then he said my housekeeping wasn't great and he had to fail me on that!!! I know 100% my house keeping is perfect, I always keep my area spotless. In fact one of my colleagues asked if I had a condition that I was a neat freak!!! So it proves I am tidy!!!!
He then said if he was basing my review on my first 5 months he would pass me but because he was basing it on my last month in the new position he put me on he was failing me and therefore adding a further 3 months to my probation.

This has added extra stress on an already stressful job. I couldn't face going back on the floor after the review as I was extremely upset, I was with my doctor this morning as I was awake most of the night with a pain in my stomach, headache and horrible anxiety.
He gave me my orders to stay at home for a week because of the state I was in with him this morning.

I had reported the incident upstairs and today when HR rang me they were more or less saying that I was annoyed because there was a further 3 months added to my probation, this is NOT the case, I'm annoyed because my review should have been based on 6 months and not 1 month.
I feel I have been unfairly treated and I feel like I'm back in school with the big bully.
I'm really annoyed and upset even writing this, it's very annoying and stressful :(:(

Hi, it's just a job, do you have a mortgage and kids to support ? If not don't panic, either see will it settle down and be ok, or plan an exit, as I said its just a job, it will pass somehow.

Can you ask to o back to the first section that you were in? It sounds as if it is more suited to you?

Sorry, I can't offer you any advice, but just wanted to say that the person who carried out your review sounds like a right *!*!*!, and reading your account made me angry.

I hope things work out for you, and you don't let this episode upset you too much. :(

Sounds like a bad situation but having your probation extended is not the end of the world, if they were unhappy with you they would have let you go.

But OP, taking a week off due to stress whilst on probation is not ideal if you want to stay there. That could be a real issue at the end of the extended probation.
