    Hi all

I'm going to build my house in the spring its a strip foundation with all the usual spec and I'm trying to cut as much cost as possible but not at the expense of quality. However if I can pick up as much materials would be great anything that reused. Things that you only need a small amount of and that it was sold in bulk only and you have left overs. all help appricated thanks:)

Will the Assigned Certifier sign off on materials you have picked up as left overs? How will the paper trail show that the items are for for purpose under the Construction Product Regulations?

While I would love someone to give me everything i need its more likely ill end up with a small amount of something that i will have to buy more of and just put them all down as one set. HOPEFULLY...

I built my house with some left over materials and materials bought cheap. If they are fit for other peoples homes, its fit for yours.

Edit.. Now, just sit back and listen to the nonsense you see in here often. I remember a few posts from a guy on here who installed cheap bathroom suites/ensuites and was slatted. He even bought them from a reliable source and only thing was wrong was they didn't come in boxes or a few scrapes on them and some suggested it shouldn't have been signed off because it wasn't brand new llf. Only in Ireland I tell ya lol

You obviously built BEFORE the new Building Control Amended Regulations.
