    Hi All,

Im just completing form 11 through ROS. got married in 2013 and now starting joint assessmnet. Apart from first screen where i input wifes pps n DOb no other screens ask for her income/tax etc. Am i supposed to add it to mine in the relevant boxes or is it taken automatically. Each page only has my name at top so unsure if Im to use my figures or the totals of both.

    Any advice appreciated.

As you only got married during 2013 you need to submit your 2013 return under single assessment for 2013 then you apply after to revenue with your date of marriage and they calculate if you are due money back

In the year of marriage you are still assessed as a single person. You have to prepare a review of single vs joint assessed for both or you, or request revenue to do it. Also need to submit and it2 form if you wish to register as jointly assessed.

Bit late in night for this!! Long story short, prepare return as single person!
