    Guys,

I have 2 mates (brothers) that have recently set up a construction company.
They are both parners and have one employee, so 3 in total.

They are getting busier and busier and jobs are now appearing whereby they are being asked fro copies of their H&S Statement.

Can one be prepared by themselves or should the employ a H&S Officier to prepare one?

Any links to where they can get started?

    Thanks.

I know a lot of the smaller guys were usefully guided by their EL/PL insurance companies. Or to put it another way the EL/PL providers imposed training on them. Maybe thats a good place to start

I used this. Use the find/replace tool to save yourself hours. You'll bet the statement in MS word. I might have a copy if you need, pm me. Might save you a few quid.

They have all their PPE, safe pass etc, they just need a physical Health and Safety Statement prepared. PM me the crowd who done yours please as you cannot post company names on boards.ie. Thanks.

PM me your email address. you're in luck. I have a safety statement I can send you. It needs minimal editing and is for the building trade specifically.

You can prepare this yourself, but when the proverbial hits the fan you'll want one that was prepared by somebody who knew what they were doing.
