Secure your IP camera!

    A website has posted live images from IP security camera's from around the globe which have default username/password credentials. Passwords like 'admin' and '1234' are commonly used out of the box. The easiest thing to do is simply change your password.

    Im guessing they would have had to open ports to the outside world first in order for anyone to view these camera's?

    Indeed yes. Ports such as 80,8000,8080,8090 would be commonly used. Some setups use upnp to configure the port forwarding so the user may not even be aware. I assume the website is using a ip/port scanner to find the insecure cameras.

    Looks like the website has been taken down. Still, it is a cautionary tale. Change your password folks!
